Adventures In Manifesting: Success And Spirituality

This book is a wonderful compilation of real-life stories and experiences of manifesting what you want. It also shares the pathways (including going from struggles to insights) to being empowered, connected and in-flow to manifesting what you want.

The book was lovingly crafted by Sarah Prout and Sean Patrick Simpson.

My opportunity to co-author in this book is a demonstration of manifestation in itself!

Earlier this year (back in May), I had simply made a decision that I wanted to write and publish a book later this year. I had decided to ‘chunk it down’ and begin with the IDEA of writing a chapter for a book to co-author. I like to make things in life easy and simple (especially as I tend to pack in so much into my schedule!). It wasn’t even 48 hours after I had made this decision and visualised the success of it, that a mutual friend of Sarah Prout and myself (Sherrie Rose) emailed me and shared the opportunity along with the encouragement that I should share my story. Now here’s the juicy bit – I hadn’t uttered a word to a soul about my decision to write a chapter for “a book”! But to me, this ‘phenomena’ is no longer surprising, but ALWAYS delighting my senses and soul as the ‘magic’ of manifesting unfolds in my daily life!

Another ‘just like’ connection is comparing it to a book that is the foundation of my success and changed my life – “Think & Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. Fire On Necker Island

It was only six months ago that I spent a week with Sir Richard Branson, and a select group of entrepreneurs on his private (Necker) island. The main Guest House was where we spent many hours having mastermind meetings, enjoying meals and drinks, entertaining each other with our antics and simply just having fun and enjoying the magnificent panoramic views from the location.

To learn that all that has gone up in flames and smoke, literally razed to the ground from the fire saddens me greatly. I know how much history was in that home, both in energy and experiences and with artifacts that Richard so proudly hosted in the Guest House. I’m also sad to hear that with his office being in the main home where the fire was that many of his personal photographs and journals are now gone…. forever.

I learned about the story while flying in a helicopter to Savusavu to attend Anthony Robbins private Platinum Partner event, held at his home grounds in Namale, Fiji.

Just after I had taken this photograph, then uploaded it to facebook, I felt a lurch in my gut. It wasn’t from the helicopter shuddering in the winds (although that did happen a few times). Instead it was from reading the news about Richard Branson’s Necker Island home being on fire.

What felt surreal is that when I arrived on Necker Island, it too was by helicopter, taking in the grand and magnificent views of the island and the Guest House so beautifully mounted on the highest peak of the island.

And today, I was flying in a helicopter, flying into Savusavu to spend time with another person who is also one of my key mentors, hero’s and now friend, Anthony Robbins.

The experience of flying in the helicopter for arrival whilst reading the news, had me so viscerally linked back to my Necker Island experience in a heart-beat. I imagined the Guest house (and the rest of the island and homes) in my mind, seeing the house and all it’s detail go up in flames, while imagining the steep hill descent everyone would have had to run in the dark (at 4am!) to escape the danger.

I’m just so glad to learn that everyone was OK, and no injuries occurred.

On Richard’s blog, he states: “We had a tropical storm with winds up to 90mph. A big lightning storm came around 4am and hit the house. My son Sam and nephew Jack rushed to the house and helped get everyone out and many thanks to Kate Winslet for helping to carry my 90 year mum out of the main house to safety – she was wondering when a Director was going to shout CUT!”

While I spent time on Necker Island in February with Sir Richard Branson, I shared with him my vision and goal for The Global Trading Game, a game that is helping to shift human consciousness for creativity of lifestyle and abundance principles.

The Global Trading Game began at Brisbane International airport (an hour before I was to board my flight to LAX). It was January 4th, and I was inspired by reading an article in a magazine that I bought, about “One Red Paperclip”. The article was about a Canadian guy called Kyle McDonald, who in 2005 began trading with a single red paperclip, for items each time that were ‘bigger or better’ until he made a final trade for his goal. A house. (He traded 14 times in one year to date to reach his goal!)

Inspired by Kyle’s adventure, I found my plan to demonstrate the principles of how to consciously create your lifestyle by design, including abundance and higher contribution. In seconds of making my decision at the airport, I purchased a packet of Tim Tams (chocolate coated cookies) for $3.75 and immediately jumped online to post a blog about my commitment.

Since then, I have been journeying around the world, traded six times in five different locations, trading each time for ‘items’ that were ‘bigger or better’.

I met Kane recently, when I caught up with Aussie Rob (Trader 6 – the $47,000 “Wealth Creation” Package) for dinner during his latest trip to Perth, WA.

So we agreed to catch up again just last week, where I met up with him at a cafe local to his home. I arrived first, to watch this humble yet energetic man cruise into the parking lot on his Harley Davidson, cool as a cucumber… with ‘ease and flow’ oozing from his presence. His grace and presence is a real charm and indicator of someone genuinely happy with life, loving what he’s created and graciously willing to share his story.

Kane: …”When I first met Aussie Rob, I was a “Chippie” [carpenter]… working hard, long hours, maybe 70 – 80 hours a week. And, I was looking to get into share trading. And so that led me along to a particular seminar, that was run here in Perth. And I… [pause and chuckle] …this guy in a hat, named Aussie Rob got up on the stage, and I must say I was like “who’s this bloke!” or “what’s he doing here at this wealth creation seminar!”… and yeah, um, ah, it’s amazing to look back at what I first thought of “Aussie” and to know him now, and what he’s achieved and the amazing education he’s provided for so many people, including myself…

So anyway, he got up on stage, and he showed this “Lifestyle Trader” product and it um, wasn’t just share-trading, but they were teaching how to do trade foreign exchange, and commodities and it appealed to me so…  I thought “oh well, I’m a chippie [carpenter] at the moment, at this stage, but I’d like to do some trading on the side.”

So I invested in his education package, and I began to paper-trade or simulate-trade, as they call it, and they teach everyone to do that. And eventually 3 months down the track, I was live-trading. And, then 6 months down the track I was, I had my live-trade account to a position where I was at, for the first time ever, I had the choice of “Do I want to go to work today or not?!”…

I had a fantastic run in the markets, and I did everything they taught me to do, and um… followed the rules, followed the system… and within six months I was able to decide [no longer needed to go to work]… and so what I did, I said to my family, my wife and kids, “I’m going to take a month off work! And just rewards us, and spend some time away and have some holidays.”

…. “That was 3 1/2 years ago….and I haven’t been back to work yet!”………

Katie: “How much time did you put into the trading on a weekly or monthly basis?”

Kane: “Well now, I’ve done it for quite some time now, so I’ve got my disciplines and skill-set quite down pat so I will probably spend between 20 and 30 minutes each morning after the update, just placing and adjusting my trades, so not long.

In the early days, I… to learn the skill, ah, like I said I was a carpenter, ah I hadn’t ever bought or sold a share. I didn’t know what foreign exchange was. I was very naive to everything in the markets. All I knew was how to build stuff, and renovate homes and so I was naive to the markets. So, at the start I spent probably an hour to an hour and a half a day for the first few months…. so it wasn’t much of an investment of time for what it has given to me, and my family. It’s incredible!”

I decided to hold back sharing it until now since last Friday was the day of the ROYAL WEDDING. All eyes (including mine) globally were transfixed on the television on this wonderful day celebrating the fairytale union, wedding and the story of Wills and Kate.

The Global Trading Game is the story of my own fairytale – and one which so many are becoming a part of (either by being IN the game, or participating along the journey with support and encouragement. To everyone one of you, “Thank you!”)

My friend, Preetesh (Pretzel) Morar and I traveled by car from Brisbane to the Gold Coast on Tuesday 19th April, to get some insight and ‘behind the scenes’ of the Lifestyle Trader Group. It was here, that I met the CEO – Murray Priestley, and was told the full extent of their trade. They really shocked me with surprise for with their full (and now expanded) offer! But the package was ‘up’d’ by Murray (CEO) from $40,000 to $46,994! As you would expect, I was thrilled! These are not some fluffed up numbers, instead represent real value with their offer.

Our visit ended just before noon. So Pretzel and I grabbed a snack and a drink and headed north in the car to Hervey Bay, stopping off in Brisbane to drop off some packages. Our journey took us almost six hours, with the occasional random stop for a drink or a ‘rest’ break.

We made it to the Mantra Hotel in Hervey Bay about 8:30pm. So we dashed off to the hotel restaurant for some food and something to eat before we settled into the hotel room. While we were eating, Aussie Rob and his wife Kerry called to say they had finished their conference event at the hotel and wanted to catch up. They came and drank some wine with us (the kitchen had closed) and we were excited to catch up again (Pretzel and I had met Aussie Rob in Thailand at an Internet Marketing event).

The next day was the ‘official’ trade day.

We met up with ‘Aussie’ Rob, Kerry and ‘Captain’ Michael at the local Toogoom boat ramp, where we drove out in Michael’s boat to Lifestyle Island. We had a look around, enjoyed the rustic feel of the Australian island, and sat down outside one (of the two) properties on the island, where Aussie Rob and I did an interview and officially exchanged our trades.

So, the question I always get asked at each trade is “What do you think you will trade it for next?”

My honest and candid answer is, “I don’t know!”

That’s all part of the adventure!

I am very curious at this stage of the game, as to WHO is a likely candidate for the next trade, and WHAT they may have to offer. The game ‘value’ is now moving beyond the $50,000 mark which means there will some interesting offers coming, I am sure.

While the trade itself may be priceless and not hold a set value, it’s about what value it can bring to the next person trading in the game, while helping me move towards my goal to finally trade for a position on Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic spaceship.

Along the way, I am also working on my goal to raise US$1,000,000 for Virgin Unite (Richard Branson’s Charity fund). I was delighted to share in on a conference call two nights ago with the Virgin Unite staff to discuss my goal and strategies and their support. (I’ll update in a blog soon!)

The article I read was about Kyle McDonald’s “One Red Paperclip” story, a Canadian who in 2005/2006 traded up one single red paperclip for items “bigger and better” until he reached his goal for a house. He was successful, and 14 trades and one year from beginning his journey in North America, he held the keys to his new home in Canada.

The power of an idea!

I felt inspired because it was January 3rd 2011 when I read this story. It was only four days earlier, on New Year’s Eve, that I made the commitment to travel forward in 2011 with an adventurous way to teach “Lifestyle Design Principles” and how to create the life of your dreams using ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking.

For the last three years I have been enjoying my time to myself (and mostly traveling the world), as I’ve created a lifestyle of freedom with passive income streams and living my life on my terms. All based on these principles.

Kyle McDonald’s strategy was perfect. I wanted to do it. But on a global level.

I started the “Global Trading Game” in January (after reading an article on his story) – beginning my journey in Australia with a $3.75 packet of Tim Tams bought at the airport. I’ve since traveled around the world, and traded now in 5 different countries, with Trade 6 recently exchanged for a $46,994 “Wealth Creation” Package.

My end goal is to trade up for a position on Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic plane to experience sub-orbital space, as well as collectively raising US$1,000,000 for Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Unite charity.

A seat on Virgin Galactic has the value of $200,000. That’s my goal. I’m 25% of the way there, and achieved in as short a time as 15 weeks! I’m constantly in awe, and marvelling at the success of how quickly this game has evolved, and now is almost running on it’s own!

These last few days have been a tremendous whirl-wind! I haven’t slept much at all in the last 72 hours. The Global Trading Game is now gaining much larger momentum! Trade 6 – a “Wealth Creation” package is now official.

Since leaving Brisbane on Tuesday for the Gold Coast, to meet up with Murray Priestley, the CEO from “Lifestyle Asset Management” group, to then drive up to Hervey Bay the same day in preparation to film with “Aussie” Rob Wilson for the official trade (6), and all that followed…. I’m quite frankly, ready for a hibernation of several months.

But, I am super excited to share with you the amazing new era for The Global Trading Game. It’s truly stepped up to a whole new level, which  has me pinching myself with awe for what is unfolding. Quite naturally. Even, developing it’s own legs and quite simply, now running! This game now has it’s own momentum, and I’m fascinated with it. (As well as needing a quiet and quick break in order to keep up! Thank God for the Easter weekend!)

So, to give you a brief update now, with the highlights of the Trade progress.

Trade 6 is set to be official this week!

My flight is booked. I’m headed to  Queensland, Australia on Sunday.

I’ll be arriving in Brisbane, and staying with friends for a few days.

On Tuesday I drive up to the Gold Coast to “Lifestyle Asset Management” head quarters to meet the CEO and look at their head office.

Then on Wednesday, my friend (and this time videographer/photographer – Pretzel Morar) head up to Hervey Bay where we will do the Official Trade 6 with “Aussie” Rob Wilson who is well known Australia-wide and in the USA and UK market as “The Lifestyle Trader.”

Just this week he was in the Hervey Bay Independent sharing his latest venture. “He’s known globally as a wealth creation guru having amassed a multi-million dollar portfolio from varied business interests and trading global markets,” says the newspaper.

It goes on to say, “Aussie Rob is known for his innovative techniques that simplify the way people trade stocks, options, commodities and property by creating cutting-edge tools like “Options Made Easy”, “Trend Genie” and the flagship trading program “Lifestyle Trader ”.”

I met Aussie Rob briefly in Thailand a few weeks ago at David Cavanagh’s Internet Marketing event. We clicked immediately, while sharing a table at lunch during one of the first days of the event.

We were exchanging philosophies, and I knew right away that I was sitting with someone who ‘gets it’ when it comes to creating the ideal Lifestyle. I also discovered that he recently shed fifteen (15) kilos with a detox program. “I’m right into health now” he says. I asked him more questions. I also said, “I’ll be really transparent why I am asking you all these questions.” Then proceeded to share with him my mission with the Global Trading Game. He loved it!

Here’s the extra cool bit. During my first discussion with “Aussie” Rob in Thailand, I learned he also knows Sir Richard Branson, and has also raised significant funds for Virgin Unite. So much so, that Branson had a Virgin Australia airplane named “Aussie Rob” in honour of him!

So it’s with great excitement that I anticipate my flight to catch up with “Aussie” Rob again.

Trade 6 will happen on “Aussie” Rob’s own private island – “Lifestyle Island,” which is just off the coast of Hervey Bay. We’ll be heading off early on Wednesday morning (20th April) by dingy, in sync with the tide.

This next Trade and trader seem amazingly aligned with my goals for the Global Trading Game (which are):

1) To get a position on Virgin Galactic; and

2) Help globally raise US$1,000,000 for Virgin Unite.

Both of these goals are centered around my greatest life and entrepreneurial mentor, Sir Richard Branson.

As a result of The Global Trading Game, I also had the most wonderful experience open up to me this last February to visit Sir Richard Branson’s home island – Necker Island – and spend a week with him there in the British Virgin Islands.

So, I’m marvelling that less than four weeks from my Necker Island experience that I met “Aussie” Rob, who:

1) Knows Sir Richard Branson

2) Has his own private island also

3) Has raised significant money for Virgin Unite

4) Has a Virgin Australia plane named after him!

And;

5) He teaches people Lifestyle Freedom strategies

Now you know why I’ve been ‘Buzzing’ for the last few weeks, trying to keep this trade ‘under my hat’ until we made it a solid deal.

The Global Trading Game -Trade 1 to 6

The Global Trading Game is in full swing!

I’m currently in Pattaya, Thailand, and this past week has resulted in another leap forward with the trading game -  Trade 5 (Spanish Health Retreat and Lifestyle Design Package) now being swapped for an amazing package.

It is here during my time at David Cavanagh’s Internet Marketing Event, that I met up with someone very special in the world.

“Trader 6″ is another example of living a congruent path of integrity, congruency and designing life on their terms, and who also helps thousands of others do the same!

The details of Trade 6 will be revealed in the coming weeks, with the ‘meeting’ to officially trade in “Trader 6′s” country, and on their personal island!!!

For many of you following the Global Trading Game, you know that I’ve just come back from Necker Island last month, having spent a wonderful week with Sir Richard Branson, who says what I am doing is “amazing!”.

What else is amazing, is I discovered (after the trade) that Trader 6 is also a great friend of Sir Richard Branson, having raised significant money for Virgin Unite. “Trader 6″even had something very cool named after them by Sir Richard!
